    Welcome to our class page!

    Teacher - Mrs Harrison

    HLTA - Mrs Corden

Forest School Lead - Mrs Brookes

Teaching Assistant  - Mrs Evans, Miss Titley & Miss Sidwell

    SENDCo - Miss Sinha

    Welcome to EYFS!

We are very much looking forward to seeing you all in September and starting an exciting year of learning together.

    Uniform

Please name all items of school uniform including coats and shoes. It can be very tricky for the children and adults to identify items without a name! You may also wish to provide a spare set of underwear/clothes for you child in the even of an accident or spillages etc. These can be kept on your child's peg.

    Water Bottles

Please ensure that children bring a clean water bottle to school each day which is clearly marked with their name. We are able to refill their water bottle throughout the day.

    PE

PE in Reception this term will be on Monday morning and Nursery will be on Thursday morning.

Please ensure children have their PE kit and trainers (named) in school on their peg as we are encouraging children to develop their independence by changing at school. PE can take place both inside and out depending on the activity and skills taught. Trainers/pumps, navy/dark jogging bottoms or shorts and a school PE T-shirt. Thank you

    Forest School

Forest School in EYFS will be with our wonderful Forest School leader, Mrs Brookes on a Tuesday afternoon (starting on Tuesday 8th for Reception and Tuesday 15th for Nursery).

Forest School takes place in all weathers and all seasons. Children and adults must be dressed appropriately as 'there is no such thing as bad weather, just the wrong clothing!'

We encourage exploration and investigation and the children will need clothes that will enable them to do this.  As a parent said, 'You can wash away the mud, but you can't wash away the experience.'

    Forest School Clothing (Winter example):

    • Jogging bottoms/leggings
    • Vest
    • Long sleeved top
    • Sweatshirt/fleece
    • Warm socks
    • Wellies
    • Waterproof trousers
    • Waterproof jacket
    • Gloves
    • Hat

Remember to bring a carrier bag for wellington boots and waterproofs - these items can get wet and muddy! Children should come in wearing their own shoes e.g. trainers or school shoes (no open toed shoes please!).
